The database contains pedigree information for over 41300 purebred Arabians. Mainly, but not exclusively, those bred or used for breeding by Polish studs (including their ancestors). We plan to maintain and further enhance the database to make it a valuable source of information for Arabian breeders and lovers worldwide.

Data can be retrieved in three different ways:

• you can ask for a pedigree of a specific horse,
• given a horse you can display the list of its offspring present in the database,
• you can also search the database for horses with "matching" names.

In the first two cases you have to supply a horse name. If more than one horse with the given name is present in the database wou will be given a list of horses to pick from.

To search the database you have to supply a "search pattern" i.e., a string of at least three non-blank chracters. As a result you will be given a list of all horses in the database whose names start with the specified string.
